Question by Cricket: Where is the absoulute cheapest place to buy a Canon Powershot?
I have an Olympus camera that i am thinking about trading in. It originally was about $ 250 and i’m only getting $ 92 dollars back for it. I’m planning to buy a Canon Powershot instead. Where can i find the cheapest place possible to buy a Canon Powershot?
Also does anyone know where i can possibly trade in my camera for more money than i’m getting from the company?

I have a lovely Canon Digital Ixus i camera, about 5 years old. However, at times the screen refuses to switch on. Once I connect it to the pc it works again for a few times. The camera is tiny and takes such great pictures. At the shop they just shrug their shoulders and want me to buy a new one. Anything you can suggest I do?

my Canon Digital Ixus i does the same thing. i connect it to the computer and it works again. it only happened about twice but it still works. it is a lovely camera though.

My shots with my canon 7d always appear to be focused on one thing and the rest around it blurred. How do I get to have everything focused?

Sounds like your depth of field is too narrow, to increase the area in focus, you need to have a smaller aperture (higher f number, like f8 or above).
This will decrease the amount of light getting to your sensor, so you will either need to increase the shutter speed or ISO to compensate, keep your shutter speed at 1/60 or faster to avoid shake, adjust ISO to around 400 or 800 to get the shutter speed, but put ISO too high and noise becomes a problem. It is a balancing act of those 3 settings

My older model Toshiba Satellite laptop won’t start browsing the wifi internet after the connection has been made with a public wifi provider (Library) .I wonder if the N wireless adaptor is too fast for my laptop.

there’s no reason for it to be “too fast,” unless the driver for the adapter was written poorly and requires a lot of processing power.

think of these things:
did you install the driver software (either automatically through windows or by using a download or disk)?
have you connected to any other networks using the adapter?
Do you know for sure that that network works?
Do you know for sure that you have the right credentials to use the network?
Are your IP settings correct for that network?

I have linux mint 4. I need to wipe my computer off of junk and reinstall. I also want to upgrade my hardrive and reinstall linux mint 7, and the latest ubuntu. I want to get the junk off manually, search and destroy, and then uninstall. I need that harddrive for my other computer, can you help me out? Linunx mint is the way to go by the way.

If you are looking to delete and format the Drive with Linux Mint 4.0 on it I recommend you use Gnome Partition Editor (GParted). For this operation you can run off any Ubuntu or Mint LiveCD as Gnome Partition Editor is included

I have both a MacBook and a Toshiba laptop, and my ipod is set to Windows. But for some reason, music downloads fine, but the Kevin Smith podcast cannot and will not get on there. Anyone know how I can fix that?

Is the podcast you’re trying to download a video podcast? Cause sometimes iTunes won’t even allow you to download it if it knows you only have an audio iPod.

I have a newer Toshiba Satellite laptop. For some reason, when I try to view videos both on YouTube and Facebook (and any video I have taken with my Flip Share video camera) sent to my email address, it is pixelated. I’m able to see most YouTube videos but many on FB and my Flip camera are completely pixelated. Help! I’ve already changed the settings on my laptop to be high-performance!

you probably do not have the right codecs installed is the most likely problem try installing vlc media player or the k-lite codec pack.
